In John 11, we encounter the story of Jesus bringing Lazarus back from the dead. When Jesus arrives to do this, Lazarus has already been dead for four days and his sisters both say to Jesus, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." They all agreed that Jesus surely could have prevented this death. However, none of them thought that He could reverse it. They thought that power was reserved for God alone but Jesus said, "and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." He is telling us plainly that He has already defeated death with His work on the cross. For those who believe, He is the path to more life! Do you believe this?
