Paul tells us in Romans that the Holy Spirit bears witness that we belong to God and that we are fellow heirs with Christ. We have been adopted by God and that means that our Father is rich! God owns the universe and everything in it but more importantly than any material thing are the attributes of God that He freely gives us. He is rich in mercy, rich in grace, rich in kindness, forbearance and patience, rich in wisdom and knowledge, and rich in His glory. Paul also lets us know that the Holy Spirit, who dwells inside of us as believers, is our comforter an is actively helping us in our weaknesses. The Spirit of God loves you more than you love yourself so remember...You've got a Friend in you! A friend closer than a brother who is indwelling in us, helping us, protecting us and enriching us.
