God calls us to be holy...set apart for His purpose. Our time, energy and bodies cannot be consumed on the satisfaction, provision, and entertainment of the flesh and for the pleasure of God at the same time. Setting our bodies apart for the pleasure of God is our "Jesus oriented service". It is the very thing that Jesus did when He prayed, "not my will but your will be done". We are being invited to surrender our bodies in a Jesus like way. Based on the mercies of God, present your bodies as dead to self and alive to God. This is our most God-minded activity that we can do. Joshua said it best..."Choose you this day whom you will serve".
