There are only two options in this world and it has been this way from the very beginning of creation. Every single person that is hoping for heaven is either trusting something that they are doing, planning to do, hope to do or hope to do better, OR they are trusting in what has already been done for them on the cross through Jesus Christ. The ancient nation of Israel in the Bible is our prime example. Their entire society was built around the adherence to the Mosaic law. This law controlled every aspect of their lives and there is not another people in history more affected by religious belief than the 1st century Jewish community. They had all the zeal but had a lack of submission to the One who could save them. Romans 10:13 says, "For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." Call on Him today.
