How to Be Beautiful When Life Is Ugly

In 1 Peter, we find our Lord's word to those who are feeling the pressure ,or the sting, and for some the devastation of persecution. The overall message of 1 Peter is one of hope, but more specifically one of beauty during suffering. The goal is not to find the beauty in suffering, the goal is to be the beauty in suffering. God wants us to be beautiful to Him. If you are going through some tough times, if life has become ugly for reasons beyond your control, then we need to endure with humility and honor based on our faith that God is good even though life is bad. Entrust yourself to your faithful creator. If you can do that then it creates something precious and beautiful in God's sight.
