Faith Crisis

When we open to chapter 11 of John, we encounter a life/Faith crisis situation that is one of the most grief oriented instructions in all of Scripture. Lazarus is dead. Grief, regret, and fear had overtaken the rest of the people involved in the situation. But Jesus says, "if you believe, you will see the glory of God". Great tragedy has been the breeding ground of Great Faith. Great Faith says that Jesus is God and is good regardless of how I feel or what I have lost. God is not only glorified by that kind of faith, but it becomes ointment for other peoples healing and the source of our reward.
