Is There Contamination in My Life?
Chapter 7 of the book of Joshua gives us a glimpse of what happens when there is contamination within our lives. God did not allow the Israelites to defeat Ai because a man named Achan had disobeyed God's command about keeping riches from a previous attack. After the Israelites are defeated, two questions were asked through a prayer from Joshua. God, why did you do this to us? God, what will you do to fix this? When things don't go the way we think they should we ask the same exact questions today. However, God in His sovereignty, knows exactly what we need to go through in order for us to examine ourselves and get the contamination out of our lives. Examine yourselves today and ask the question... Is there sin that I refuse to repent of in my life? If so, confess those sins to God and ask for help to have a change of mind that leads to a change of action. Repentance is where we do the hard work of decontamination. God is willing to allow your temporary, physical endeavors to suffer if necessary to help you address that which is more valuable...Your Spiritual Wellbeing!
