The Marks of Immaturity
Jul 7, 2024 • Randall Snipes
Kids squabble and argue all the time over silly things. We often say, "that's just kids being kids", but many times we encounter adults arguing and fighting as well. At the root of both of these situations is immaturity. Anytime two immature people get together for an extended period of time then there is going to be friction because the root problem with immaturity is selfishness. In 1 Corinthians, Paul is turning on the spot light and he is aiming right at the issue of immaturity within the church body. God is calling us to mature as believers and part of this maturing process is valuing what God values. He values people and when we love selflessly as He loves, then the strife, jealousy, and divisiveness dissipate.
