All Is Vanity

The Bible paints a picture for us when it comes to King Solomon. By worldly standards he had it all. Wealth, fame, wisdom and many other things were all given to him in abundance by God. However, he comes to find out that there is no lasting satisfaction in worldly treasures. They are all temporary and cannot satisfy us. Solomon goes from being the wisest person to ever live, the most famous man in antiquity, the wealthiest person recorded in history, the most accomplished scholar in the ancient world, to leaving us with these words in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14. "Having heard everything, I have reached this conclusion: Fear God and keep his commandments, because this is the whole duty of man."
