The Fullness of God's Forgiveness

The relationship of David and Bathsheba is not anywhere close to a glorious story and it is by far not the one that WE would pick to have the Messiah come through the lineage of. When WE forgive there still seems to be some sort of lasting affect or residue left of the situation. However, when God forgives there is no "residue" left. God forgave them so sufficiently that He chose them to be in the direct lineage of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Now, there may have been some consequences because of their sin, as is with us as well, but he did not look back at their sin when He chose their future. The same is for us as well. The reality is that God's grace is always greater than our sin when we put our faith and trust in Him.
