Go Outside and Look Around

In Psalm 19, when David looked up at the sky he did not see the different sizes of the distant stars, he saw the majesty of the sky. This ancient man with all of his wisdom and a heart after God did not look at all of this and say, "Wow, what a great outcome of the random expansion of gases over billions of years." No, he said, "Wow, all of the glory goes to God!" This week the Psalms encourage us to go outside, especially at night, and spend some time looking at the vast universe around us. Listen to it as it declares the glory of God. God has surrounded us with breathtaking evidence of His existence and power. All of it is designed to lead us to the understanding and worship of the Almighty.
