The Mighty Hand of God

The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 5, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." Peter then quickly follows this with "cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you." We must realize that in order to humble ourselves and rid ourselves of pride, we need to hand over all of our worries and anxieties to Him. In order to fully understand what the statement, "He cares for you" truly means we must know that His mighty hand is not a condemning hand. It is a hand that is ready to protect, lead, and teach. When we understand that God has our back no matter what, then we can truly focus on getting rid of our pride and handing all our worries over to Him.
