Grace That Waits

During the reign of Hezekiah, Judah made a conscious choice to seek help from Egypt during an Assyrian attack. Though it seemed like a good plan, God reminded Judah it was a rebellious move against God. We often find ourselves in the same scenario—seeking comfort and stability in whatever the world can offer rather than seeking God. However, God waits. He waits for our repentance. Instead of turning us over to our rebellious state, God sent Jesus, the embodiment of grace, mercy, and justice to draw us back to himself. Though the world lures us by its evil, we wait, trusting and hoping that in the end Christ will make everything right.
