Believe, Trust, and Obey

Zechariah and Elizabeth were both declared righteous in God's sight. They both fully, truly, and biblically believed God. Not just in Him and the reality of Him, but they trusted God more than they trusted themselves. Therefore, they were credited with righteousness. This belief that they had, in turn, greatly affected the way that they conducted themselves. Their conduct was a natural product of true belief. If we truly believe that God's way is better than our own, then we will want to follow His ways.
