Run

For many of us, we began "running our race" in Christ full of wonder and joy. We are new born believers, excited about Jesus, excited about church, and excited to share our faith with others. But then, somewhere along mile 3, 4, or 5, the excitement begins to diminish. What happens? The forward movement required more effort. The resistance began to stack up against us. We began to realize that this new path was not one of less resistance. However, as the writer of Hebrews tells us in chapter 12, we must continue to "run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus."
