Humbly Come

Hebrews chapters 5 and 7 show us the need for a different priestly line. One that is forever after the order of Melchizedek, but just what does this mean? The mysterious Melchizedek does not have any lineage or ancestry nor any mention of his death or descendants. His priesthood is seen as having no end, so he was a foreshadow of the coming Great High Priest that is Jesus Christ. Jesus is the source of our eternal salvation to all who follow Him. He is our perfect, eternal salvation which means we once again have access to the Father through Him.
