Characteristics of a Loving Person

1 Corinthians 13:4 tells us, "Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant". Without the love that this verse speaks about, we are annoying, useless and empty. Love is God's standard for how we are to interact with Him and with others. However, God did not just leave us with the word love. He also gave us a standard by which we can measure ourselves. These standards start with patience, kindness, not envying, not bragging and not being arrogant. Having the type of love that starts with these characteristics is only possible to those who love God first.
