Kingdom Greatness

As a society we are fairly consumed with being great. We want to be top dog, top of our field, and the top of the food chain. When we read Matthew 18, we can see that the issue of greatness is not limited to our culture or society. The disciples ask Jesus, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?". In response to this question Jesus gives them and us 10 ways to be great in the Kingdom. The bottom line is is that when it is about us, we are greedy, unkind, graceless, unforgiving, and petty. When we adopt a kingdom attitude, we understand that people are the true treasure and that forgiveness and generosity is how we become rich and great.
