The Big Deal - Jesus

As we dive into the start of our church-wide New Testament reading plan, we find in the book of Matthew a great number of people who reasonably knew that the Christ was among them. They knew who Jesus was, that He was everything that they had been waiting for and that He was the greatest thing that would ever happen. He was and is THE BIG DEAL! Our obedience to God's Word has to be founded on the person of Jesus. Not just the historical character but the fact that He is the God-gifted Savior of our entire existence. If we can have a life-altering excitement about Jesus, we, like those who have gone before us can turn the world upside down.
