The Blessings of Jesus

The blessings or beatitudes that we find in Matthew 5 are given to us by Jesus to explain what a follower of Him looks like. The real meaning behind these is to show us the traits that believers should have to unlock the door to inner joy...not worldly happiness. These teachings help us to see what salvation in Him really looks like. To have a changing of the heart to want to grow closer and be more like Jesus.
