My Hero

As we journey into Judges 4, we come to the story of the only female Judge, named Deborah. We are quickly introduced to Barak and then at the end of the chapter, Jael becomes a prominent figure. As we unpack this chapter, we can't help but to ask ourselves, who is the true hero of this story? The answer is God. God used unlikely Deborah for the beginning of this conquest. He continued it with unknown Barak, and finished it with an unrelated assassin named Jael. God used unlikely elements to complete an impossible task for an unworthy people. He is the true hero above all else and demonstrated, once again, His tremendous love for His people.
