Lift Up Your Ebenezer

1 Samuel 7 brings us to a point where the Israelites are broken before the Lord. They need to remove all of the false idols and false gods that they keep going back to and focus on worshiping the one true God. Samuel helps them do this and as they are worshiping, the Philistines try to attack. However, when we are worshiping in unity as believers, this is when we are at our strongest. The Philistines are routed by God and the Israelites are able to defeat them in battle. Samuel then sets up an Ebenezer stone. A stone of help that reminds us that God has got us yesterday, today and forever when we are worshiping Him.
